The Cono Sur Experience I’ve only worked here for a short time, but my job here is more than a job, it’s precisely an “experience” in the sense that it’s dynamic and exhilarating.

I’ve worked at Cono Sur since… August 23, 2010

My job consists of… I’m the Cono Sur Marketing Director and, in general, my job consists of defining global marketing strategies for Cono Sur, Isla Negra, and Los Robles brands. This includes defining product and communication strategies for all countries where Cono Sur Wines are sold. I’m lucky to lead a highly specialized team and thanks to them, I am able to develop and implement various projects and meet the outlined goals for my position.


During my time here I have particularly enjoyed…
Sharing, learning and working with the people who make up the exceptional Cono Sur team.

My favorite Cono Sur wine is… Cono Sur 20 Barrels Limited Edition Pinot Noir, Reserva Sauvignon Blanc, and all Cono Sur Viogner.

Because… They are exceptional wines in terms of quality and with Cono Sur’s unique seal.

And I love drinking it… At a dinner party or a BBQ, ideally with a lot of people. For me, wine and sharing with friends and family are synonymous.

A little bit more about me… I’m a commercial engineer. I’m married with two children. My hobbies are music, sports, and travel, particularly with my family.

When I’m not working I enjoy… going to the beach with my family, spending time with my children, playing tennis, and being with my friends…It’s the simple things in life that I enjoy.

One thing that most people don’t know about your job is…
That marketing is more an art than a science. This is because, in the end, Marketing is about positioning a brand in the consumer’s mind. Sometimes, this means taking the most rational and straight-forward approach, but other times it means a complex, even unconscious approach.
 
Do you think working at Cono Sur is a unique experience within the Chilean wine industry?
Yes. This is a unique experience within the Chilean wine industry, but also a unique experience when compared to any industry on a global level because this is a small and young team. We have high quality products that are very innovative and we have a presence in many markets. This is what gives us a privileged position in the industry and more importantly, a very promising future.
