Cono Sur Visión Pinot Noir 2010
Colchagua Valley, Chile
It’s hard to find an impressive pinot noir from anywhere that’s under $20, but this one fits the bill. It’s on the darker side of pinot, with a hint of earthiness that will appeal to fans of Old World pinot and some dark-fruit flavors that should attract California fans.

Cono Sur Bicicleta Viognier 2010
“A surprisingly well made wine. Surprisingly, because often times the less expensive versions of this grape variety lose much of the big aromatic and floral character the grape is known for. Not in this wine. Tropical fruit, lime, orange blossom aromas with a dusting of minerals carry forward on the palate with some honeyed notes of grapefruit and a woodsy character. Good balanced acidity on the finish makes this a food craving medium bodied wine. Try this with spicy noodles, shrimp dishes and pastas.”
