“Last summer I was on holiday in France. In a nice village I saw a great looking old bicycle leaning against a wall. It was almost fully covered with leafs and bush, and I took a few pictures of it. At home I opened up a bottle of your Merlot. On the label I saw a bike looking just like the one on my photo, so I decided to mail you. The wine was great! It is definitely on my list of favourites.”

I read the label and accompanied my sushi meal with bittersweet sauce, with Cono Sur Gewürztraminer. It was truly spectacular, and very pleasant to my pocket. Hello,I am writing to tell you how pleased and impressed my friends and I have been with your wines. We host, prepare and serve seven course wine dinners for charitable causes. Recently we served two of your wines at one of our dinners. The Bicycle series Pinot Noir and the Chardonnay. Both were extremely well received by the forty or so people that attended the dinner. We seek to educate people about the wines we use, the variety, the region,the winery etc. As we emphasize the use of organic products the green aspect of your wines is especially attractive. We involve local farmers as much as possible and promote the approach to food.

I am a cyclist from Calafia Valley in California and I really like Cono Sur wines. I’ve read your philosophy about the bicycle and I find it excellent. I also have one that I would like to share with you: “The bicycle is just a good excuse to understand that life has a meaning, that essentially it has our cyclic and ascending character. When building our character and will, the bicycle provides an unconscious space to be more competent and human in every day life.”

I just wanted to make the effort to communicate to you how much I love your wines, and admire the philosophy behind what you do; it’s also very encouraging to read about your CarbonNeutral delivery status. I particularly enjoy your Pinot Noir Reserva, which is absolutely delicious. I am extremely fond of Chilean wines, and have found that none can beat the wines you produce. So often wines just don’t match up to what they portray through their descriptions, but Cono Sur wines really do. I’ve never been disappointed! So thank you!

I should write this message in French! As a matter of fact, I am French, but I am living in Recife (Pernambuco). I am an oenologist and wine grower (Domaine de la Folie in Rully) from Burgundy.
I have tasted your Pinot Noir 2006 and have been impressed by the general quality and by the balance of it. I guess that this pinot must be one of the most “bourguignon” of Chile.
You should offer a case to your president, Mrs. Bachelet, whose family is also from Burgundy!!!!
