Here at Cono Sur we like doing things the natural way. That’s why in July 2007 we became the first winery in the world to obtain CarbonNeutral® delivery status. This means that the CO2 emissions from the shipping of our products have been measured and balanced to net zero through high quality Greenhouse Gas Emissions reduction projects. Through the CarbonNeutral Company we support mainly renewable energy programs, particularly a wind energy project.

Obtaining CarbonNeutral delivery status back in 2007 was just the start. Cono Sur will keep up the work in order to improve its performance regarding climate change issues. The company’s CO2 transportation emissions are being offsetted again, through the renewal of the CarbonNeutral delivery status for 2008.
On the other hand, energy supply is being studied, in particular:
Solar Panels for hot water supply and Photovoltaic Panels for electricity needs.
Wind Energy to supply some of the winery’s new plantations.
