Integrated vineyard management

Cono Sur switches from a conventional agriculture to an integrated vineyard management, a system that favours the use of natural alternatives to fertilize, prevent and control pests and diseases.

Our vineyards go organic

We start an organic viticultural project within 40 hectares of the Colchagua Valley, which has grown to the San Antonio Valley. Today, Cono Sur has a total of 300 hectares under this certification.

Double ISO certification: ISO 9001 and 14001

We are the first winery in South America to achieve a double ISO certification: ISO 9001 for our quality assurance procedures, and 14001 for our environmental policies.

“Clean Production Agreement” certification

Cono Sur Winery obtains a “Clean Production Agreement” certification, an initiative promoted by the Chilean Government and the Chilean Wine Corporation, whose main objective is to help improve the management of productive, environmental, and energetic conditions, among other issues

Leyda and Peralillo Estates become organic

Campo Lindo Estate in Leyda, in San Antonio Valley, and Peralillo Estate in the Colchagua Valley become organic.

CarbonNeutral® delivery status

We become the first winery in the world to obtain a CarbonNeutral® delivery status, by neutralizing the carbon emissions from the shipping of our products to all our markets.

Project “Wine, Climate Change, and Biodiversity”

In Campo Lindo Estate, San Antonio Valley, in conjunction with the Ecology and Biodiversity Institute (EBI). This project is intended to develop new management practices that foster the reproduction of native flora and fauna, in order to preserve the ecosystem and mitigate global warming effects.

- The company incorporates lightweight bottles for entry level products.
- Cono Sur calculates its carbon footprint for all its productive process.
- The company gathers information in order to obtain an ISO 14064 certification.

ISO 14064 through the CEMARS™ quality program

-Purchase of “El Encanto” 100 hectares in Jahuel, San Felipe, in Aconcagua Valley.
-Cono Sur became the first winery in America and third in the world to be certified ISO 14064-1 through the CEMARS™ certification, positioning itself as a leader in environmental care.
