Cono Sur is dedicated to complying with its integrated management policy, which includes commitments related to laboral legislation, occupational health and safety and workplace management, as well as maintaining a code of self-conduct, the Concha y Toro Code and all other codes we voluntarily observe, such as the BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) that strives to improve overall work conditions.

  • 1998

    Cono Sur switches from conventional agriculture to an integrated vineyard management, a system that favours the use of natural alternatives to fertilize and to prevent and control pests and diseases.

  • 2000

    Cono Sur kicks off its organic management with 40 hectares in Santa Elisa Estate. Today, Cono Sur has over 300 hectares under organic management in San Antonio and Colchagua Valleys.

  • 2002

    First winery in South America to receive a double ISO certification: ISO 9.001 for quality assurance procedures, and ISO 14.001 for environmental policies.

  • 2006

    Cono Sur obtains a "Clean Production Agreement" certification, an initiative promoted by the Chilean Government and the Chilean Wine Corporation.

  • 2007

    Our estates in Leyda and Peralillo, in the the Colchagua receive organic certification. This same year, Cono Sur becomes the first winery in the world to receive the CarbonNeutral delivery Status.

  • 2008

    In conjunction with the Ecology and Biodiversity Institute (EBI) at the Campo Lindo vineyards in the San Antonio Valley, Cono Sur initiates the "Wine, Climate Change, and Biodiversity" Project.

  • 2010

    Cono Sur becomes the first winery in the Americas and third in the world to be ISO 14064-1certified through CEMARS, positioning itself as a leader in environmental care.

  • 2011

    Cono Sur Vineyards & Winery won the title of Green Company of the Year 2011, awarded by the British magazine Drinks Business at their "Green Awards".

  • 2012

    Cono Sur becomes the first winery in South America to comply with all requirements set in the demanding BSCI's (Business Social Compliance Initiative) code of conduct.

  • 2013

    Cono Sur complies with the three areas of the National Sustainability Code.

  • 2014

    Cono Sur obtains the certification of the international standards ISO 50.001, Energy management, and OHSAS 18.001, Management of occupational health and safety.

  • 2015

    Cono Sur earned the Clean Production Act certification for its Santa Elisa estate and winery.

  • 2016

    The Business Sustainability Center of the Adolfo Ibez University, SOFOFA and Capital Magazine awarded the 2016 Corporate Sustainability Award. Cono Sur Vineyard receives recognition in the environmental category.

  • 2017

    Cono Sur is the first winery to receive the Gold Medal in Energy Efficiency from the Ministry of Energy.

  • 2018

    Cono Sur Receives For Life Certification For Life is a Social Responsibility Certification that assures that workers enjoy safe and fair working conditions, that their fundamental rights are met and in accordance with the standards established by different international organizations. The certification also includes an evaluation of the operator?s environmental performance, its role and impact on the local community.

    Cono Sur Winery contributes to the Valdivian Coastal Reserve conservation project in Chile
